I have found my work from home opportunity, what next?
Congratulations and welcome to the exciting world of earning an extra income from home! Firstly you should now have all the tools and support to get out there and start making some money.
The first rule is WORK! None of these opportunities will create money if the person doesn’t work, so don’t expect £’s to start rolling in and life getting easier unless you are out there getting business.
One of the main reasons people fail at their home based business is when they start letting everyday things get in the way. Excuses start rolling in for not working.
- “I work 9 to 5 all day and I am too tired when I get home”
- “I have to visit my Gran today so I can’t go sell my products”
- “It’s raining I will wait till tomorrow when the weather is better”
- “I have the housework to do today”
Days, weeks, months pass and no money is coming in. Most people start blaming everything except for themselves!
- “The company is bad, I have been sucked in”
- “Everything is out of stock”
- “I have no time for this”
The truth is if you had been out there getting sales the money would have come in. This is usually when people quit and blame the company! However, where does this leave you?
Still in debt? No money for your kids Christmas presents? No holiday this year? Back to 9 to 5 job? You find yourself back at square one but with less hope of anything ever getting better now and no way out. The only person who suffers from not doing the work is YOU!
YOU are one of the few people that actually took the step to change things in your life. Don’t let it pass you by now! You have to be self disciplined now, employ yourself. All these excuses wouldn’t wash in a normal job; you would still have to be at work 9 till 5 regardless of what life throws at you.
The main key to discipline is to stay motivated, constantly remind yourself of why you started this venture in the first place. If it was for a family holiday every year carry a picture of that holiday with you everywhere in your wallet, if it was to get out of debt make a true list of all your debt and as you pay it off write down the new balance and watch it fall.
Plan your time. However little time you have for your work from home venture still write it down. Write down what you are going to do every hour for every day and stick to it no matter what!
You will soon realise that these work from home opportunities offer a lot more than just an extra income. You will meet new people, learn new skills and become a more confident person.
A good company will recognise your achievements however small and this is a good feeling. We all want recognition in our lives and it only serves to boost our confidence and further our progression.
